Hello!
Hi, I’m Ruben, a game programmer with over six years of experience developing and supporting games across multiple platforms. I’ve contributed to two major titles: Nanotale on PC and Stadia, and the Xbox port of Age of Empires IV. On these projects, I collaborated closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, engaging gameplay experiences.
Following the console release of Age of Empires IV, I shifted focus to live service development. I took ownership of systems like ranked seasons, event challenges, and new game modes to keep players engaged while waiting for the next DLC to drop.
My passion for game development started early—experimenting with Scratch, building small prototypes, and even designing physical card games. This early curiosity naturally led me to study Game Development at Digital Arts and Entertainment at Howest, where I built a strong technical foundation and a deep appreciation for the craft of game creation.
I’m currently seeking opportunities as a gameplay, tools, or UI programmer, where I can tackle challenging problems and continuously improve my skills while bringing exciting player experiences to life.
